The weather is balmy for the 2019-2020 holidays so to make it feel a little more holiday like we dressed the queen palms with a few thousand lights.

Forecast is currently for temperatures to remain in the 80°s days and 60°s nights until at least January 5, 2020. At that time some cooler weather might slide down the Florida peninsula.
When the weather is this warm and the oceans are relative cooler—today's water ocean water temperature at Cape Canaveral was 72°—sea fog forms and moves far inland. There are often low topped showers that will move inland from the Atlantic as well.
So we're expecting warm and damp weather for the foreseeable future but we can enjoy these lights and pretend its cold outside anyway. The farm is ringed with a hedge of sunflower trees and as they are in bloom I did not want to trim them so that I could put lights on the fences. Instead I played around with PVC and made some giant hoops that are lighted and lighted the farm entry gate.
Holiday Pet Rescue
Willow, aka "Weebles," my most recent rescue just in time for the holidays. She has a wild and friendly personality so she's fitting in quite well with the older pets. Above: Weebles with her best buddy 18-year-old Beau. He is all bent and creaky and slowed from age. She is the opposite. It is quit a contrast.
On the lake everything remains green and the water level is acceptable for this time of year, currently 21 feet above sea level. 23 feet would be better but we won't complain in the middle of dry season. In this image made on Christmas Eve, 2019 the sea fog was finally lifting just as the sun was setting. . . and a new batch of fog would blow in an hour later.
Favorite Guilty Pleasure
For the past few years the honors for favorite guilty pleasure Christmas movie have to go to 2017's A Bad Mom's Christmas, and especially to Justin Hartley and Kathryn Hahn for their portrayal of Ty-the-Santa-Stripper and Carla who so memorably waxes his nether regions.
Just like in NBC's This Is Us, Hartly somehow manages to steal the show (above).
You probably best remember Justin Hartley from Smallville with his breakout and scene-stealing performance as Oliver Queen, better known as The Arrow.
